cherchez l'artiste (Look for the artist)
2018 – 2019
Leporello created during an In Situ residency (artists in residence in middle schools) initiated by the Département de la Seine-Saint-Denis.
I spent eight months observing 9 other artists residencies in middle school, with as a nodal point the following question: what is an artist? How does one define an artist?
Eight months of investigating and comparing points of view: those of the artists, those of the students, and my own observations.
The Cherchez l'Artiste leporello is a compilation of the research carried out on the field: visual notes, written and sensitive traces, combined excerpts from interviews, questionnaires and symbolic self-portraits.
