In Absentia is a self-portrait series, shot in the alpine pastures of Valais (Switzerland). It addresses the notion of loneliness, a space in which the absence is filled with memories and fantasies mingling together. The limit between reality and fiction becomes blurry, and irrelevant.
The title In Absentia refers to the distinction that is made in literature between a metaphor in absentia and in praesentia.
